Stamping Die Maintenance Machinist

What you’ll tackle

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production dies, components, and tooling.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, models, and part descriptions to determine materials, machines, and methods.
• Plan layouts, compute dimensions, and determine assembly methods and operation sequences.
• Measure, mark, and scribe metal stock in preparation for machining.
• Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders to produce and repair parts.
• Lift, position, and secure machined parts on surface plates or worktables; verify conformance to spec.
• Grind and finish flat and contoured surfaces; fit and assemble parts and mechanisms.
• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances using calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, blocks, and other metrology tools.
• Heat treat tools or parts as needed.
• Inspect existing dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures; recommend design improvements.
• Diagnose tooling issues and drive corrective actions to protect part quality.
• Follow all safety precautions and company policies.

Tools & tech you’ll use

• Lathes, mills, shapers, surface/cylindrical grinders.
• Precision measurement equipment: calipers, micrometers, gauge pins and blocks.
• CAD/CAM exposure: Mastercam and SolidWorks (preferred).

Shift & site

3rd shift | 7:30 PM – 6:00 AM | Monday–Thursday
Plant location: Cusseta, Alabama

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• 2+ years of verifiable tool & die experience or equivalent (required).
• Journeyman or completed apprenticeship (preferred).
• Intermediate machining and metalworking proficiency (required).
• Mastercam and SolidWorks experience (preferred).
