Position Overview and Responsibilities:
The Environmental Specialist III, 37020734, is in the Division of Environmental Assessment and Restoration’s (DEAR) Watershed Services Program (WSP), Watershed Information Network (WIN) Section in Tallahassee and is responsible for coordinating with data provider organizations conducting monitoring in assigned areas of the state to facilitate loading of data to the WIN data repository. The position will provide technical support and training for data submission to WIN, which will aid in the management and evaluation of monitoring data from the State’s water resources, and will support the data management needs of DEAR.

1. Knowledge of and ability to proficiently use Oracle, SQL, and/or PLSQL.
2. Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
3. Knowledge of the Watershed Information Network (WIN) Database.
4. Knowledge of biological, chemical, and physical data related to environmental water quality.
