Job Description



UM Upper Chesapeake Health (UMUCH) , a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), has a PRN  position available for a Critical Care Nurse   Practitioner  (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their practice located in Bel Air, MD.

Under the direction of the Medical Director Critical Care Services, the Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will assist attending physicians in all aspects of general hospital care for critical care patients. All work will be performed in close collaboration with attending physicians responsible for the patient. The Critical Care APP will be credentialed through the Maryland Board of Nursing or Maryland Board of Physicians as well as the health system to provide advanced clinical procedures (e.g. central lines, chest tub insertion, intubations, etc). Nurse Practitioners must be acute care certified. Critical Care experience is required.

Qualifications



Requirements:

  • Education & Training: Master of Science degree with completion of an approved nurse practitioner or physician assistant program. 
  • National certification in the area specialty and licensed by the Maryland Board of Nursing. NPI number, DEA and CDS required.
