Job Description

Round Hill Search is currently working with an established law firm specializing in Business Law, Employment Law, and Civil Litigation in Los Angeles, seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to work in a collaborative environment representing clients confronted with complex legal challenges. As a Civil Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for representing clients in various civil disputes, including but not limited to medical malpractice, employment, and contract matters. Your role involves managing cases from inception to resolution, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, and advocating for clients in court. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, excellent advocacy skills, and a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters, handling all aspects from initial client consultation to case resolution.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research on relevant statutes, case law, and regulations to build robust case strategies.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and other legal proceedings, presenting compelling arguments and examining witnesses.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their legal needs, provide strategic advice, and manage expectations.
• Engage in negotiation processes to reach favorable settlements and resolutions for clients.
• Collaborate with legal teams in preparing for trials, including organizing evidence, witness coordination, and case strategy.
• Investigate claims as well as provide advice and reporting to clients.
• Contribute to the development and execution of effective legal strategies for civil litigation cases.
• Work closely with paralegals, support staff, and other attorneys to ensure seamless case management.
• Ensure all legal activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor degree and active bar membership in California.
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a litigation attorney, focusing on various civil matters is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to handle civil litigation cases, from pre-litigation through trial.
• Trial experience is preferred.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy skills for effective representation in court.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client interactions and negotiations.
• Ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.
• Collaborative mindset with effective teamwork skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility to adapt to evolving case needs and priorities.

Salary:

$140,000 – $190,000 per year, DOE
